Do you accept new patients?
We do accept new patients and look forward to treating your family and friends. Your referrals serve as a testimony to our skill and success as a dental practice.
What is CEREC?
CEREC is an acronym for chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics. With CEREC, we can mill custom-fitted crowns, onlays, inlays, or veneers, and attach them in a single visit. That means no temporary crowns, no return visits, and less time out of your busy schedule. The Bristol office uses the most advanced MCXL Milling chamber for faster, more precise results in half the time of the regular compact mill chamber.
What’s the advantage of CEREC?
With CEREC restorations, you will experience a number of advantages like time-savings, fewer appointments, and no temporary work. This safe, effective method conservatively restores individual teeth, and the repair expands and contracts with the natural tooth, providing more natural dental work in your mouth. As well, we offer a lifetime guarantee against breakage. To learn more, visit the CEREC Website.
Why do you put powder on my tooth when taking a photo?
For an optical 3-D scan, we use an infrared camera that requires a light coat of harmless powder on the tooth.
Why don’t I need a full crown to strengthen my tooth?
Modern bonding systems used by CEREC work like a puzzle-piece milled from porcelain that bonds into, rather than over, your tooth. This type of repair gives you a healthy, safe, and strong restoration. You retain more natural tooth structure this way.
Will insurance cover CEREC?
CEREC restorations do not require any different billing codes then traditional restorations. They get billed as an onlay, three-fourths of a crown, or a whole crown depending on the size of the work. We now offer significant no-insurance discounts for multiple CEREC restorations in one visit.
Are lasers safe? How can I learn more?
Dental lasers are a family of instruments used for a variety of procedures including surgery, curing restorative materials, enhancement of tooth bleaching, and removal of tooth structure for restoration. Lasers provide advantages to traditional therapies, such as minimal bleeding in surgery, less discomfort, faster bleaching, faster decay removal, and often, less anesthesia. What insurance do you accept?
We contract with Delta Dental of Massachusetts, Blue Cross of Massachusetts traditional plans, Delta Dental of RI, Blue Cross of RI, Metlife Preferred and Altus Massachusetts Dental but will file with all insurance providers and will estimate your co-pay. Then we wait for reimbursement from your insurance company. If the estimated co-pay changes, your account will be adjusted, and we will notify you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a variety of payments including cash, check, and credit cards. You will receive a no-insurance discount of six percent for prepayment at least one week before your appointment, and we offer substantial discounts for multiple CEREC restorations in one appointment. We also have a three-month payment arrangement on credit card or check payments. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
